Villas on the Beach in Barbados

Villas on the beach in Barbados

Barbados has the most wonderful beaches and some guests only want to rent a villa on the beach. To wake up in the morning to the sound of the sea and the beautiful views. They like to enjoy breakfast watching the boats sailing by and if they are lucky to catch a glimpse of a turtle raising its head above the waves.

Here are two of our favourite villas on the beach in Barbados.

Waverly 1

This wonderful property is located on the beach at Gibbes Beach, one of the the most sought after beaches on the west coast of Barbados. Waverly 1 comprises 3 spacious well furnished bedrooms, all air-conditioned with ceiling fans, and 2 bathrooms. 2 of the 3 bedrooms offer stunning views of the turquoise waters of the Caribbean Sea.  It is set within its own landscaped gardens with a plunge pool, bar, terrace and built-in barbecue. Waverly 1 is just a few steps from Gibbes beach and the turquoise waters of the Caribbean sea.

The sea at Gibbes beach is clear and calm and Gibbes is close to historic Speightstown with its restaurants, cafes, shops and banks. Gibbes beach is also just three miles from all the facilities and restaurants at Holetown and Sandy Lane. This villa is perfectly suited for just about any sort of traveller and guests return year after year for their dream vacations.

The living and dining areas are stylishly furnished and sufficiently spacious and open out onto the terrace and pool deck with charming plunge pool.

Waverly 1 is a fantastic property and makes an ideal base for families or couples seeking a beach front location on the beautiful west coast of Barbados. It is one of our most popular villas and guests return year after year.

Prices range from US$700 per night (US$4,900 per week) to US$1,200 per night (US$8,400 per week) depending on time of year.

Dudley Wood

Dudley Wood is a charming chalet style 4 bedroom beach house located on Gibbes Beach in St Peter. It has 3 double bedrooms and a single bedroom. It comfortably sleeps 7.  Dudley Wood is built in bleached timber with a shingle roof. It is a delightful home with a unique rustic ambiance.

You enter the villa at mid level over a small wooden bridge which leads into the main living area. The villa is made of bleached wood and has beautiful pickled pine ceilings and walls.

Towards the beach are large picture windows, and shutters that open to provide excellent pool and sea views (child safety bars have been installed for use as required).

There are two bedrooms located off the sitting room at ground floor level. Both are en suite with king size beds.

A spiral staircase leads up to a charming third bedroom with king size bed, located in the loft space. This has an en suite bathroom with shower. All bedrooms are comfortably furnished with air-conditioning.

The spiral staircase also leads downstairs to a well equipped kitchen, with a small dining alcove, and the fourth bedroom with an en suite bathroom (note this bedroom is suitable for single occupancy only).

A door leads out to the enclosed garden, which is surrounded by mature trees, providing shade and privacy.

The property has a good size swimming pool and deck with sun loungers.

Next to the pool and deck is an alfresco dining area. There is a gazebo and another covered area featuring a built-in coral stone bar and a barbecue.

A gorgeous stretch of beach is just a few steps away, through an arched gateway, with a wall mounted shower for rinsing off and crystal blue water that is excellent for swimming.
